Physicians Formula Correcting Primer & Smoky Eyes Shimmer Strips

I know a lot of people enjoy Physicians Formula products but out of the ones I have tried " a fair few"  I found I really do not care for them.  With the redness in my face I wanted to give the Correcting Green Primer a try and see if it would help.  It wasn't what I expected to say the least.

I pictured it being silky similar to other primers, it was more like paste.  I took the first one back, I didn't notice when I opened it and it slipped out of the package that the bottom of the plastic holder had been cut open.  The contents in the tube had hardened and only came out in bits of chalky powder.

When I got back with the second one as I was trying to twist it out the top of it popped up and I had to push down and reapply the brush to the base.  I had to do this twice before anything came out of it, and for the next three times as well.  I had enough from each time to do about 1/4 of my face.

After applying, it turned white and as it dried felt like I had rubbed chalk down my face.  It was very drying, and cracking I had to wash it off there was no way I could put foundation on over it.  I will try another primer but think I am done with PF brand.

I also picked up one of the Smoky Eye Shimmer Strip trio pencils.  I have been wanting a fat eye pencil and a friend told me these were great.  Her idea of great and my thoughts on these pencils are ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ about this far apart.

Usually we agree and like the same things, this time not so much. I really was saddened by this, I was hoping for a creamy well pigmented eye pencil and what I got was a sparkly, sheer black mess that made my dark circles scream "HERE I AM!".  Again I know some products work for some and not others this product as with many of their others does not work for me.

That picture of the primer is from the second and only other container they had in stock.  The spillage on the brush was hard as a rock.
