Sugar Works

I used to order sugar scrubs from another company, they closed down and I have not purchased any in years.  I started making my own, I don't have the space or an area in the house for doing that at the moment, so I went online and found a company called Sugar Works.

  http://www.sugarworksbathandbody.com/

I just received my order today, the prices have gone up from what I used to pay by a lot. $15.95 for an 11oz jar and they call this their large.  Well, instead of receiving my two 11oz containers I received two 8oz containers. I have contacted customer support and will post the outcome of this.

So about the product, the scrubs scent is very light, not overwhelming.  For some they may like that I prefer more of a stronger scent.  For the glitter lovers it is sparkly at least on the top.  I have not used the scrubs because I do not know if I will be sending them back to get my order straight or what is going on yet.

I got the buttercake and whipped marshmallow foaming body scrubs.  The buttercake has more of a light almond scent, the marshmallow has a light fragrance of... plastic.  I am really hoping when I do get to use them they smell better when you dig into them and it is just the packaging I smell at the top.

I also ordered two Dry oil body mists $12.50 each for 4oz bottle.  One in Cinnamon Stars the other in Dark Chocolate Noel.  Both are nice I prefer the Dark Chocolate Noel, they smell very nice together.  Unlike some places that say dry oil and your skin feels oily this actually is a nice dry oil.  The fragrance seems to last pretty well.

Once I hear from Sugar Works I will let you know how it turned out.  I have to say this for my own peace of mind.  I love the pretty wrappings but I wish these companies would stop adding the extra shredded paper and gift paper unless it is asked for additionally.  There is enough garbage to deal with and that is where most of this ends up.

  1. The business in Savannah closed a few years ago. Their Website has also been down for quite a while. I used to try emailing Alexa for product and quite frankly she completely flaked out on me. Even with repeated emails, she was unwilling to provide a price with shipping for several entire loafs of soap. It's a a real shame. She has a lot of talent but can't possibly seem to get out of her own way to get someone to handle the business side of the house. This could have been a really successful business if she would stick to making product and let someone else handle all the sales and marketing.
